Fall 2004 - 2nd Year
Professor Jackson

This semester was centered around industrial design, and designing buildings for a specific industrial designer. I chose to design a gallery for Marcel Breuer, based on his well-known chairs, which use continuous materials to create a smooth, open structure that is still fully functional. This gallery for New York City is adjacent to the High Line, which is an undergoing revitalization project for the city. This building would open up to both the street and this revitalized High Line, and it is an open structure that utilizes Breuer's structural principles.
