Professor Orsini

This project is similar to the Steel Mixed Use Building, except here we were asked to use a concrete structure, and the program was slightly altered to include a public performance space. The concept I explored for this project was the tesseract, or, the 4-D cube, and the ways it could intersect and create a dynamic form that would influence the shifting spaces within the building. The front corner of the building is where this intersection stands out--it is the large open space throughout the building, as well as where the performances occur. The rest of the building is transparent, which illuminates at night.
